Britain’s Got Talent Biggest New Star Michael Collings

IT Engineer Michael Thomas Earned Himself A Standing Ovation From The Audience At His Britain's Got Talent Stage Audition For Singing And Playing Tracy Chapman's Fast Car
When Michael Collings stepped-out onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage on ITV1 on Saturday night clutching his guitar, wearing an orange hoody, trackie bottoms and trainers, I don’t think anyone including all three judges, Amanda Holden, David Hasslehoff and Michael McIntyre, audience or the viewers at home had any idea just how much natural talent the 19-year-old had….
But since his brilliant performance of Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car, the IT engineer has been hailed as this years Britain’s Got Talent biggest and brightest new star….
With tears in his eyes, 19-year-old new dad Michael Collings couldn’t believe it when his rendition of Fast Car won him a standing ovation from the crowd and yesterday the unlikely star admitted that he’s never had a guitar lesson in his life…
The talented self-taught IT engineer has instead learned his art by watching YouTube videos of rockers including Eric Clapton, and has admitted that he would love to win Britain’s Got Talent to make life easier for his new eight-week-old baby son Jamie, his girlfriend Sarah Mcleish,19, and his supportive parents whom he currently lives with in a caravan in Cornwall.
“Mum and Dad are over the moon.
“They were the ones who encouraged me to go on the show.
“It’s great to get this far.
“If someone wants me as a singer then I’m going to do it.
“I’d like to make a career out of singing and sell lots of albums around the world”, said overwhelmed new star Michael Collings.
